Ryla 2009
Jennifer and Jay,
Ryla has fit into our family very nicely. She is very affectionate and loyal to our family of three; however, shows a preference to our six-year-old daughter.
We are fortunate to be able to bring Ryla to work with us every day. Every morning as soon as the garage door goes up; Ryla is ready to jump into the truck. At the office she spends a lot of time sitting under my desk. When a customer or delivery comes in the front door she protectively stands in front of me (as oppose to licking the guest or jumping up on).
Every weekend, we go to our cabin in Wisconsin. We are located on a river; where Ryla LOVES the water, is an excellent swimmer and does not hesitate a second to jump off the end of the dock! In fact often times when we call her… she will run up the hill with a big smile on her face and soaking wet after a nice swim.
We are very proud of Ryla’s appearance as well as temperament. Anytime someone with Sheppard knowledge sees Ryla they are in awe of her coloring and build.
Although she has not been to obedience training, she heels on a leash, comes when called, does not jump up on anyone and is very gentle with the many children we have coming and going. Although our backyard is fenced in; when we are home we are typically in the front yard. Ryla runs in the front yard and consistently stays with in the boundaries of our yard; she does not ever go into the street; not even to greet another dog passing by. Often time’s people ask us about our invisible fencing (of which we do not have).
In closing, Ryla was well worth the money! The drive to Creekside Kennels is beautiful and the drive home gave us some nice quiet bonding time with our new dog (she sat in the backseat with Allison).
Thank you for the continued contact and support while we became aquatinted with Ryla. Lastly, you will be happy to hear we are moving to a home with 10 acres for Ryla to run and play on.
Regards
