A word of advice - if you are thinking you may need boarding soon (or know you will) - I strongly advise you #1 book your dates asap & #2 get an appointment with your vet immediately to ensure everything in the requirements list below is taken care of prior to boarding. Be sure to give your vet time to test the stool & heartworm samples & get the results in PRIOR TO BOARDING. Note - if your dog tests POSITIVE for any internal or external parasite, they CANNOT board until after treatment is completed & a negative retest has been completed. Stool sample checks in general do not require an appointment but everything else does - and vets are booked weeks out in advance - so do not delay in getting your appointment set up & those fecal/heartworm tests completed!
Boarding dates are secure upon completion of the 5 steps listed below:
1st - Completion of Boarding Reservation Request online

3rd - I have received your updated vet records
**including vaccines, preventative info, fecal & heartworm test results (for each pet)
4th - I have received your completed contract

PLEASE - When scheduling boarding drop off & pickup appointment times -- saying "in the afternoon" or "sometime around 1 or 2", or "sometime after 9am" -- is simply not going to work. We - like pretty much any other business - need specific appointment times for scheduling not only our customers ins and outs, but our own days - between the shop, errands, boarding kennels etc it is crazy busy and knowing ahead of time when we need to be available is critical - and even more important is the one on one time that specific appointments allow me to have with each customer/pup without having multiple families coming and going at the same time. We do our best to ensure each family and their fur kid gets our undivided attention - appointments keep our schedules and days running smooth! Once you have your appointment times set up, kindly PLEASE be prompt for both of your appointments.
We understand plans can and do change, so if you know you cannot keep your original appointment time, kindly contact me to reschedule asap. If you are running early or late (10 minutes +) the day of your appointment, kindly let me know immediately so we can prevent any possible appointment conflicts with other customers and their pets. Some pets do best getting settled in/headed home with just their humans present. We greatly appreciate your understanding to help ensure all pets have a fun and stress free time here.
As soon as your boarding is confirmed, Please ensure we have the updated vet records showing your pup is current on the required vaccinations & that we have received confirmation of a negative fecal test, plus a negative heartworm test - or - proof of monthly heartworm, and proof of flea & tick preventative. Please also send in a completed copy of our contract prior to boarding. We update the contracts yearly.
If you need to cancel your reservation, and to avoid a cancellation fee, Kindly, please email me or Text at 1-715-896-2967 at least 5 days prior to your drop off date to cancel your reservation. **7 Days notice is required to cancel if your boarding dates are on or near a major Holiday. Thank you for understanding, as your timely cancellation (with enough notice) could very likely open up a spot for someone on the waiting list to get their dog in here for boarding.
Please keep your dogs leashed when arriving and departing. This is a common courtesy and is also for the safety of your pets and any other pets who may also be here.
We will do our best to ensure your pup has a great time here!! Extra love, belly rubs and attention are always free here! We love to spoil your fur kids!

Creekside Kennels will not accept any dog/s for boarding (or visiting the shop) who show any aggressive behavior to other dogs and/or people!! Please do not schedule boarding or plan on bringing your dog into the shop if your dog has any history of (or the possibility of) any aggressive behavior.
Thank you for understanding.
Boarding can be difficult on some dogs and they may react far differently here than they do at home, the vet, daycare, grooming, the dog park etc etc etc. We want the environment here to be fun and safe for everyone!

FAQ: ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS

*See below for photos of the kennels
Drop Off & Pickup Times:
**Drop off & Pickup Appointments can be made between 8am to 7pm Mon - Sun and are scheduled at a minimum of 3 days ahead of time in 15 minute increments. A range of time is no longer acceptable for drop off or pickups - Thank you for understanding.
**Please be prompt for your drop off and pickup appointment times!
**Appointments are scheduled in 15 minute increments - so by being late or early by 10 minutes can possibly cause problems with other appointments.
**I like to be able to give my full attention to each family (human and fur kids)
**Having multiple families here with their dogs at the same time can be stressful for most dogs/owners.
**It is just me (Jen) covering the shop & kennels, so please be respectful of your appointment times.
**I understand life happens and sometimes planned appointment times no longer work, all I ask is for you to reach out asap and we can reschedule. Thank you
Kennels are next to our house:
**We have the ability to check on and spend much more time with the dogs boarding here than most kennels who only have employees on site from 8 to 5. WE will make sure your pet has the best stay possible by giving them alot of love, and attention throughout the entire day, Monday through Sunday! We spend time with each dog individually, giving them extra attention, ear scratches, belly rubs, exercise, treats, and lots of love.
We send updates directly to the owners and we include photos of their pups:
**So they can see how their pups are doing, this helps the owners relax, knowing and seeing their pups are having a great time here
Cameras inside the garage facing the kennels allow us 24/7 access to see how the dogs are doing
Our Kennels are very large & we offer indoor and outdoor sections in all kennels!
**Your pet can go inside or outside and stretch their legs whenever they want. They can use the restroom whenever they need to, they are not limited to only a few bathroom breaks a day. On the inside we have their cots/food/water etc. We have two types of individually fenced outdoor kennels directly linked to the inside portions of the kennels. Half of them are in the woods - your dog can explore and run around in the fenced in area outside just like they do at home. The other options are for those who rather have an enclosed outside area/ for those whose pups have the bad habit of eating things they shouldn't or trying to break out or escape enclosures, or the smaller dogs or more anxious dogs - who feel safer with an outside roof over their heads. We have both options - you just tell us which is the best fit for your pet. Take a look at our numerous photos so you can get a feel for the different options. You can also schedule an appointment with us to check our kennels out ahead of time in person. Simply ask for an appointment to do so.
Have an active dog?
** Then request the wooded side kennels, we will gladly set aside one of those spots for you. Please do keep in mind they are first come first serve!! The wooded kennels offer a much bigger outdoor space for your pup to run/explore in. We do our best to ensure all active pups get to burn off some energy as much and as often as possible. So please know that while we offer as much exercise possibilities as we can, we cannot complete with what you offer at home. Note, we do not walk dogs outside of the fenced areas. This is purely for safety purposes. We will not risk a dog slipping a collar because they were excited to see a deer or startled by a vehicle or wander into an area with ground hornets etc. Weather permitting we have several options for dogs to get some extra exercise -- wooded side whenever open (even if only for a day or a few hours), the fenced in area behind the house, and inside the garage for those icy/wet yucky weather days.
Wooded vs Covered Side
** As long as your dog is not an escape artist, or a pup who gets into trouble by eating things they shouldn't or trying to destroy fencing or dig or climb or jump over fencing, -- also if you dont mind your pup getting a little "dirty" either from a little mud or digging in the dirt etc -- then the wooded kennels are the best choice. If you have a young pup or a small breed dog - the wooded side would not be the right choice. Dogs that have not been boarded before are often started out on the covered side - this is the controlled/mischief free area. Dogs may start their first boarding experience on the covered side and then based on how they do (and feedback from the owner) then next time be moved to the wooded side. Covered side is best for dogs who may be nervous due to boarding and weather too. Any questions, just ask!
Have a dog who likes to hear themselves talk (alot)?
** Dogs bark. It is what they do. We do ask that if you have a dog that tends to bark alot, to let us know in advance. For the well being of your dog, plus the comfort of other dogs here boarding, as well as our own dogs, we would rather not have a dog here that barked incessantly. We do understand that you may not know ahead of time if your dog will bark a lot, being kenneled in certainly different than being in the yard at home. So please do not be surprised when you pick up your pup and he or she has lost part (or all) of their voice from barking while here. We can and do offer calming supplements for pups who show anxious behavior while here. While it is not ideal to have to do so, it is an option, that does help the pups relax and enjoy being here much more so than without the calming chews.
Have a nervous dog?
**If your pup is a nervous pup, or one that has not boarded before, we may recommend some calming chews to help settle him/her while here. Note, we would only do so with the owners permission and would only use when needed. I now have sample size calming chews available, as well as 30 ct and 60 ct for those of you who prefer to have some extra on hand for future boarding (or when needed at home).
Our kennels have air conditioning/giant fans for summer, and heat/ heaters in winter:
**the kennels/garage are insulated and comfortable year round
It is hard to leave your fur kids behind:
**We do our best to keep them happy and comfortable. For those pups who have separation anxiety or are simply more stressed than others - we spend extra time with them to help them settle in and be more comfortable. You can also ask your veterinarian to recommend natural and or medicinal anxiety meds - which we will give to your pet as needed/directed. We carry several safe and effecting calming treats/supplements.
NO Extra Fees:
**for giving oral medication or supplements, or special food.
Schedule your boarding dates as soon as you possibly can:
**We can and do fill up fast.
Fees for No Shows:
**All cancellations must be given to us in writing, at least 5 full days in advance, AND, 7 Days Notice for any days on or near a Holiday. If we do not respond - it means we did NOT receive your message - so kindly resend it or send it a different way - until we confirm receipt of your cancellation.
If you reply to a system generated email or text - WE DO NOT SEE THOSE TEXTS, YOU MUST CONTACT US DIRECTLY! **
Last minute cancellations & No shows - block rooms for people would have also needed room for boarding. We do understand emergencies and last minute changes do happen, and we will work with you, so please just communicate with us as soon as you know you are unable to keep your boarding appointment. We appreciate your understanding.
Please keep your dogs on a leash while here:
This is for their safety as well as that of others. Please be considerate of others -- Most dogs/people don't like to be approached by off leash dogs. Some dogs may jump up on people, vehicles, etc, or chase after a rabbit! We also have areas that are landscaped, and having a dog or dogs run through/urinate on the plants can kill them. Please be considerate!! Thank you
Day Boarding:
**While we primarily handle overnight boarding - we offer day boarding.
NO mingling of boarding dogs with any other dogs:
**No group play with our dogs or boarding dogs. We are not set up for this type of service. Each dog has his/her own individual kennel with ample inside and outside space to play and relax in. I can highly recommend a local doggy day care facility - just ask!
No aggressive dogs are allowed
**No dogs who show aggression towards humans and or other dogs are allowed to board here. Kindly advise in advance if your dog/s have issues with people and or other dogs!! You do not want to be responsible if your dog bites someone - or - another dog!
Pets who do NOT have the required vaccinations/tests/preventatives:
**Will NOT be allowed to stay.
**This is for the safety of the other dogs boarding here, as well as our own dogs who live here. Thank you for understanding.
Destructive Dogs
**Dogs who chew/rip or otherwise destroy parts of the kennels or what is in the kennels - will be charged extra fees to repair or replace these objects.
*Dogs who are messy - including those who don't go outside to potty - will be charged extra fees for cleaning
