Nyquist (04.02.15 Pixie and Panos)
When Ethan and I moved into our first house in January, I promised that if we got a house, Ethan could get a dog. Ethan has always had a dog growing up, and living in an apartment that didn't allow dogs was hard for him to get used to. For me, this was going to be a new adventure, as I have never had a dog or any indoor pets before. After we moved in, we began our search for the perfect pup.
Ethan has always liked German Shepherds, but has never had one of his own. Once we decided on the breed the laborious task of finding a breeder began. We must have looked into over 20 different breeders in the state and ended up choosing Creekside. We chose Creekside because of the amazing quality and amount of testimonials they have. I couldn't believe how many happy families had written such great things about Jennifer and Jay.
My cousin just graduated from Vet school and told us what questions all breeders should ask, so when I first contacted Jennifer, I was waiting to see them hit the marks I had been given. when Jennifer replied, we got WAY more than we hoped for. They asked every question and more to make sure we were the perfect family for one of their pups. That filled me with so much respect and joy!! We had found our breeder! After that, every question I had was answered thoroughly and timely with expertise and enthusiasm!
The day the puppies were born, we were glued to Facebook, watching as each puppy was announced. We were SO excited when they announced the fourth male!! We went to visit our little guy as soon as we possibly could and fell in love the instant we saw him. We were even lucky enough to get a long hair/plush coat, which is exactly what we wanted!! He is so fluffy and adorable!!
Nyquist, named after Gustave Nyquist, a famous Red Wings hockey player, has become part of our little family. He is our baby right now, as we don't have children, but will be great with kids when we do decide to have them! He loved the neighbor kids and is so cute when he plays with them. He is VERY VERY chill. We have hardly heard him bark at all, loves to cuddle and is EXTREMELY smart. He knows sit, shake, lay down, stay, come, etc.! He loves his octopus and monkey and likes to cuddle with them at night. He is friendly to everyone he meets and loves car rides! He will forever be our first love, but by no means our last!!! We are looking forward to welcoming another Shepherd into our life very soon, and i would go no where else, but Creekside Kennels!!
