Jerry Lee and Izzy (Jan 2014)
We Had a Baby! It Was Twins!!
When my husband decided he wanted a new shepherd puppy to begin his retirement, little did I know we would come home with two! However, that is just what we did. We not only pick up our pup, but also the remaining little female of the litter. Duke Draco vom Haus Jennings (aka Jerry Lee) and Duchess Isadora vom Haus Jennings (aka Izzy) are our fifth and six German Shepherds in 25 years. Because my husband wanted a black and red, we needed to research a breeder for the color. We chose Creekside because of Jennifer and Jay’s dedication of the breed.
Both pups are social, outgoing, have excellent prey drive, and are extremely intelligent. How many people would begin housebreaking in subzero weather with a child’s swimming pool in the garage? That is what we did. Once the weather broke, they easily transitioned outside. They go everywhere with us, and they are inseparable. They are a hit out in the community as well as the vet’s office. People are surprised to see two, and are always asking how we tell them apart. Aside from the obvious, Izzy has a bow on her collar. Both pups already sitz on command both verbally and with hand signals, as well as working on their other basic commands. We are now working on “please” for treats, and “all done.”
I cannot say enough about Jennifer and Jay. I would recommend one of their pups to anyone who truly loves this beautiful breed. I have given Creekside Kennels my permission to provide my number to perspective buyers.
