AEDA (FOXXY AND KYZER 9.21.15)
Aeda -female (Foxxy and Kyzer) DOB 9/21/2015
In August 2015 my husband and I lost our loving Golden Retriever, Murphy, to old age after 16 years of loyal companionship. We always talked about possibly adopting a GSD so with our hearts and house feeling empty we decided to start researching GSD breeders in the state.
One aspect we had in mind was for the prospective pup to be a therapy dog. My parents live in a nursing home and I know how animals cheer up folks. So we wanted a pup with an excellent temperament and disposition. So I started doing my homework. After a few weeks and 6-7 breeders I came across Creekside Kennels. When I first contacted Jen I was so impressed by her quick response to me and wealth of information she had about the GSD.
During this time Foxxy had recently whelped a liter of six pups. Two females were still up for adoption. We kept track of the pups on Facebook. Then about a month later my husband and I were camping upnorth. We contacted Jen about possibly seeing the pups. On very short notice Jen and Jay invited us over for a visit.
The first thing that struck us was the cleanliness and organization of the kennel. We met Kyzer first and just fell in love with him. He was so gentle, calm, and well mannered not to mention strikingly handsome. Then we met Foxxy who was so sweet, calm and beautiful. Then we met the playful, social and gorgeous pups. I found myself partial to little Miss Orange and Miss Pink. My husband liked Miss Lime Green's spunkiness. We visited and played with the pups and talked with Jen and Jay for a few hours and got all our questions and concerns addressed. Jen and Jay recognized my husband's military service with a sincere thank you and a discount toward the adoption fee.
After the visit we felt totally comfortable adopting a pup from Jen and Jay. We picked up our little sunshine Aeda(Miss Pink) 3 weeks later. She is so smart, friendly and attentive with an awesome disposition. We joined the German Shepherd Club of Wisconsin and take her there for training.
She earned her AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy and is currently in obedience classes and will be starting Canine Good Citizen classes.
We continue to keep in touch with Jen and Jay via friends on Facebook and Email. We enjoy sharing and seeing pictures/ updates of all the pups from this kennel. We truly feel part of the loving Jennings Furry Family. We highly recommend Creekside Kennels and are grateful to Jen and Jay for their high standards of responsible breeding for the betterment of the German Shepherd Dog.
